February 7, 2024: Sparta, NJ 07871 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ) and the visiting Newton Braves (Newton, NJ), saw Sparta's basketball squad overcome Newton by a tally of 45-33.
With the victory, Sparta improves its record to 8-14 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Chatham (Chatham, NJ) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 20-2. Chatham won 48-43 in their recent league challenge against Morristown (Morristown, NJ)
Next up, the Braves play the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles (Rockaway, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 10. Newton will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 37-33 league loss to Morris Hills (Rockaway, NJ).
