California High School Basketball - Central defeats Southwest EC

February 7, 2025: El Centro, CA 92243

The Central Spartans (El Centro, CA) basketball were winner over the visiting Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), 71-52 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to Calexico for a Southeastern - Imperial Valley bout on Wednesday, February 12. Central will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 65-62 league win over Vincent Memorial (Calexico, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-8.

With the loss, Southwest EC falls to 6-19 on the campaign. The Eagles host Brawley (Brawley, CA) to play the Wildcats in a Southeastern - Desert bout on Thursday, February 13. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 19-8. Brawley won 69-46 in their recent non-league bout against Palo Verde Valley (Blythe, CA)
