February 7, 2025: Pine Prairie, LA 70576 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) and the host Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA), observed Church Point's basketball team overwhelm Pine Prairie by a score of 87-21.
The Bears (19-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwest (Opelousas, LA). The Raiders come into the 3A District 4 challenge with a 16-13 record. In their last challenge, Northwest was routed by Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA), 56-47, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Crowley Gent (Crowley, LA) in a 3A District 4 challenge, on Monday, February 10. Pine Prairie will attempt to improve on its 3-17 season record. The Gent come into the challenge with a 16-15 record after their 77-46 league win over Iota (Iota, LA).
