Kansas High School Basketball - Olathe West fells Lawrence Free State
February 7, 2025: Olathe, KS 66061 The Olathe West Owls basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Lawrence Free State Firebirds to 64 in the Owls league triumph on Friday.
The Owls now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Shawnee Mission North for a Sunflower game on Tuesday, February 11. Olathe West will confront a Bison team coming off a 71-69 league loss to Gardner-Edgerton (Gardner, KS). The Bison record now stands at 3-11.
With the loss, Lawrence Free State falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Olathe South (Olathe, KS) to confront the Falcons in a Sunflower game on Tuesday, February 11. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 8-4. Olathe South won 64-62 in their recent league game against Olathe Northwest (Olathe, KS)
