February 7, 2025: Springfield, MO 65807 New Covenant Academy Warriors (Springfield, MO) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Verona Wildcats (Verona, MO), 76-44 in a non-league match.
With the victory, New Covenant Academy upgrades its record to 9-9 on the year. The Warriors host Spokane (Spokane, MO) to face the Owls in a non-league match on Monday, February 10. The Owls enter the match with a record of 3-20. Spokane lost 51-49 in their recent non-league match against Marionville (Marionville, MO)
The Wildcats now sport a 1-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wheaton for a Ozark 7 match on Tuesday, February 11. Verona will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 65-27 non-league loss to Blue Eye (Blue Eye, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-21.
