Rhode Island High School Basketball - Burrillville thwarts Hope
February 7, 2025: Harrisville, RI 02830 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI) and the visiting Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI), observed Burrillville's basketball team knock off Hope by a score of 43-24.
The Broncos (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Block Island (New Shoreham, RI). The come into the Division III challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, Block Island was knocked off by Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep (Central Falls, RI), 53-20, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Blue Wave encounter the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) in a Division III challenge, on Monday, February 10. Hope will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 38-37 league loss to North Providence (North Providence, RI).
