In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Phoenix Academy Firebirds basketball team scored a good 62-51 win over the Clover Garden School Grizzlies.

The Firebirds (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against Community Baptist (Reidsville, NC). The Conqueror come into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Community Baptist dropped by NC Heat (Greensboro, NC), 50-24, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Grizzlies battle the Triangle Math & Science Tigers (Apex, NC) in a 1A Central Tar Heel contest, on Monday, February 10. Clover Garden School will attempt to better on its 14-6 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 12-8 record after their 35-20 league win over Woods Charter (Chapel Hill, NC).
