Texas High School Basketball - Ponder thwarts Fairfield
February 7, 2025: Ponder, TX 76259 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) and the visiting Fairfield Eagles (Fairfield, TX), observed Ponder's basketball team knock off Fairfield by a score of 45-35.
The Lions (27-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Young Women's Leadership Academy (Fort Worth, TX). The Lady Owls come into the non-league challenge with a 14-16 record. In their last challenge, Young Women's Leadership Academy prevailed over A Plus Academy (Dallas, TX), 34-11, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Fairfield will attempt to improve on its 27-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 21-5 record after their 69-50 league loss to Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX).
