West Virginia High School Basketball - Ripley can't hold off Winfield
February 7, 2025: Ripley, WV 25271 Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), 47-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Winfield upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Generals travel to Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV) to face the Big Blacks in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Big Blacks enter the match with a record of 0-1.
The Vikings now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wayne for a non-league match on Saturday, February 15.
