Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), 46-32 in a league match.

With the victory, Vandalia upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year.

The Piasa Birds now sport a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Staunton for a match on Tuesday, February 11. Southwestern will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 37-30 league win over Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.
