Georgia High School Soccer - Montgomery County knocks off Groves
February 8, 2022: Garden City, GA 31408 Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Groves Rebels (Garden City, GA), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles confront the Johnson County Trojans (Wrightsville, GA) in a A Public Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, February 15. Montgomery County will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Screven County (Sylvania, GA).
The Rebels now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Hampstead for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 11. Groves will confront a Phoenix team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Woodville-Tompkins (Savannah, GA). The Phoenix record now stands at 3-2.
