The Huntingtown Hurricanes basketball team (Huntingtown, MD), was overwhelmed 69-37 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD)

The Eagles now possess a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Great Mills for a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, February 10. North Point will confront a Hornets team coming off a 65-60 league win over Chopticon (Morganza, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 11-5.

The Hurricanes (7-11) will now prepare for their battle against Lackey (Indian Head, MD). The Chargers come into the Southern Maryland battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, Lackey trounced McDonough (Pomfret, MD), 60-58, in a league battle.
