New York High School Basketball - Depew fells Sweet Home
February 8, 2023: Depew, NY 14043 Depew Wildcats (Depew, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sweet Home Panthers (Amherst, NY), 58-46 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Depew upgrades its record to 16-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Lackawanna (Lackawanna, NY) to clash with the Steelers in a Section 6 Erie County III bout on Friday, February 10. The Steelers go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Lackawanna lost 57-30 in their recent league bout against Lake Shore (Angola, NY)
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Amherst Central Tigers (Amherst, NY) in a Section 6 Erie County II bout, on Friday, February 10. Sweet Home will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 51-34 non-league win over Niagara-Wheatfield (Sanborn, NY).
