February 8, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87110 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM), saw Sandia's basketball squad overcome Cleveland by a tally of 44-25.
With the victory, Sandia improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Piedra Vista won 26-19 in their recent non-league challenge against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Storm confront the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Cleveland will attempt to improve on its 13-5 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 58-14 non-league loss to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM).
