Maine High School Ice Hockey - Lake Region succumbs to Thornton Academy
February 8, 2023: Saco, ME 04072 In Wednesday's league challenge, the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) ice hockey team the visiting Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME), by a margin of 3-0.
The Trojans now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Lewiston for a Class A challenge on Saturday, February 11. Thornton Academy will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-3.
The Lakers (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against York (York, ME). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, York nipped Wells (Wells, ME), 5-2, in a non-league challenge.
