Minnesota High School Basketball - Mahtomedi nips Columbia Heights
February 8, 2024: Columbia Heights, MN 55421 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN) and the host Columbia Heights Hylanders (Columbia Heights, MN), saw Mahtomedi's basketball squad hold off Columbia Heights by a count of 72-71.
With the victory, Mahtomedi upgrades its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Zephyrs travel to St. Thomas Academy (Mendota Heights, MN) to play the Cadets in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 14. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 12-8. St. Thomas Academy won 72-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Tartan (Oakdale, MN)
Next up, the Hylanders play the Brooklyn Center Centaurs (Brooklyn Center, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Columbia Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 15-4 season record. The Centaurs come into the challenge with a 2-17 record after their 100-50 non-league loss to Breck (Minneapolis, MN).
