The Las Animas Trojans (Las Animas, CO) basketball nipped the host Swallows Charter Academy Spartans (Pueblo West, CO), 54-53 in Thursday's league test.

The Trojans (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Swink (Swink, CO). The Lions go into the 3A/2A Santa Fe test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Swink was tipped by Fowler (Fowler, CO), 65-41, in a league test.
