Iowa High School Basketball - AHSTW over Denison-Schleswig
February 8, 2024: Avoca, IA Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the AHSTW Vikings (Avoca, IA) and the visiting Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), saw AHSTW's basketball squad overcome Denison-Schleswig by a tally of 57-47.
With the victory, AHSTW improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Exira-EHK (Elk Horn, IA) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 14-6.
Next up, the Monarchs confront the Glenwood Rams (Glenwood, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten challenge, on Friday, February 9. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 51-27 league loss to Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA).
