February 8, 2024: Irene, SD 57037 The Irene/Wakonda Eagles (Irene, SD) basketball crushed the visiting Marty Indian Braves (Marty, SD), 57-35 in Thursday's league test.
The Eagles (4-14) will now prepare for their test against Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Bridgewater/Emery walloped Menno (Menno, SD), 37-25, in a non-league test.
The Braves now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Gayville-Volin for a non-league test on Saturday, February 10. Marty Indian will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 70-20 non-league win over Flandreau Indian (Flandreau, SD). The Raiders record now stands at 12-5.
