February 8, 2024: Plainville, CT 06062 The Plainville Blue Devils (Plainville, CT) basketball nipped the visiting Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT), 40-33 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Blue Devils (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Lewis Mills (Burlington, CT). The Spartans go into the Central Connecticut - West Colonial test with a 9-9 record. In their last test, Lewis Mills was tipped by Bristol Central (Bristol, CT), 63-39, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 1-16 record. They play next when they host Platt for a Central Connecticut - South Colonial test on Monday, February 12. Maloney will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 49-21 league loss to Berlin (Berlin, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 1-17.
