In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Fort Frye Cadets basketball team scored a good 55-45 win over the Belpre Golden Eagles.

The Cadets (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against River (Hannibal, OH). The Pilots come into the Ohio Valley AA contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, River was topped by Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH), 76-22, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles battle the Eastern Eagles (Reedsville, OH) in a Tri-Valley II contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Belpre will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record.
