Kentucky High School Basketball - Walton-Verona nips Cooper
February 8, 2025: Union, KY 41091 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Walton-Verona Bearcats basketball team scored a close 64-57 win over the Cooper Jaguars.
The Bearcats (14-11) will now prepare for their contest against Bracken County (Brooksville, KY). The Polar Bears come into the non-league contest with a 8-14 record. In their last contest, Bracken County edged St. Patrick (Maysville, KY), 79-46, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Jaguars battle the Fairdale Bulldogs (Fairdale, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Cooper will attempt to better on its 15-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 18-7 record after their 85-57 non-league win over Warren East (Bowling Green, KY).
