February 8, 2025: Baudette, MN 56623 Ely Timberwolves (Ely, MN) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Lake of the Woods Bears (Baudette, MN), 108-36 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Ely advances its record to 15-6 on the year. The Timberwolves host Chisholm (Chisholm, MN) to meet the Bluestreaks in a non-league match on Friday, February 14. The Bluestreaks enter the match with a record of 7-13.
The Bears now own a 1-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bagley for a A Section 8 match on Monday, February 10. Lake of the Woods will meet a Flyers squad coming off a 95-90 league win over Kelliher/Northome (Northome, MN). The Flyers record now stands at 8-14.
