February 8, 2025: Suffolk, VA 23434 In Saturday's non-league game, the Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA) basketball team toppled the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), by a tally of 60-47.
The Commodores now possess a 16-4 record. They play next when they host Manor for a Eastern game on Wednesday, February 12. Maury will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 60-40 league win over Norcom (Portsmouth, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-12.
With the loss, Lakeland falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA) to confront the Grizzlies in a Southeastern game on Tuesday, February 11. The Grizzlies go into the game with a record of 6-11. Grassfield lost 83-59 in their recent league game against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA)
