In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Normal Community Ironmen basketball team scored a close 74-68 triumph over the Moline Maroons.

The Ironmen (22-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pekin (Pekin, IL). The Dragons go into the non-league contest with a 9-15 record. In their last contest, Pekin nipped Canton (Canton, IL), 70-48, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Maroons battle the Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) in a Western Big 6 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Moline will attempt to improve on its 23-5 season record. The Maple Leafs come into the challenge with a 1-22 record after their 53-33 non-league loss to Orion (Orion, IL).
