Illinois High School Basketball - North Chicago can't hold off Zion-Benton
February 8, 2025: North Chicago, IL 60064 Zion-Benton Zee-Bees (Zion, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host North Chicago Warhawks (North Chicago, IL), 58-54 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Zion-Benton advances its record to 7-16 on the year. The Zee-Bees host Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL) to face the Patriots in a North Suburban match on Tuesday, February 11. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 18-8. Stevenson won 58-56 in their recent league match against Warren Township (Gurnee, IL)
The Warhawks now own a 9-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grayslake North for a Northern Lake County match on Tuesday, February 11. North Chicago will face a Knights squad coming off a 65-44 league win over Round Lake (Round Lake, IL). The Knights record now stands at 15-12.
