With the victory, Akiak advances its record to 8-1 on the year. The Thunderbolts host Tuluksak (Tuluksak, AK) to meet the Wolverines in a 1A Greater Kuskokwim battle on Friday, February 14. The Wolverines enter the battle with a record of 3-6. Tuluksak lost 39-22 in their recent non-league battle against Dillingham (Dillingham, AK)
The Jaegers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Akiuk Memorial for a non-league battle on Monday, February 10. Ayaprun will meet a Grizzlies squad coming off a 55-38 league win over Chief Paul Memorial (Kipnuk, AK). The Grizzlies record now stands at 14-2.
