Illinois High School Basketball - Joliet Central triumphant over Stagg
February 8, 2025: Joliet, IL 60432 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL) and the visiting Stagg Chargers (Palos Hills, IL), observed Joliet Central's basketball team overwhelm Stagg by a score of 63-33.
The Steelmen (14-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Romeoville (Romeoville, IL). The Spartans come into the SouthWest Prairie - East challenge with a 7-20 record. In their last challenge, Romeoville was routed by Joliet West (Joliet, IL), 70-54, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Chargers battle the Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Stagg will attempt to improve on its 15-15 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 14-15 record after their 53-42 league win over Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL).
