February 8, 2025: Wolsey, SD 57384 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels (Forestburg, SD) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds (Wolsey, SD), 63-33 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket advances its record to 13-4 on the year. The Rebels travel to Wagner (Wagner, SD) to meet the Red Raiders in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Red Raiders enter the match with a record of 12-4. Wagner won 52-45 in their recent non-league match against Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD)
The Warbirds now own a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Iroquois/Lake Preston for a B Region 2 match on Tuesday, February 11. Wolsey-Wessington will meet a squad coming off a 67-25 non-league loss to St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD). The record now stands at 5-12.
