The Gilpin County Eagles basketball team (Black Hawk, CO), was overwhelmed 57-26 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Dawson School Mustangs (Lafayette, CO)

The Mustangs now possess a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lyons for a 3A/2A/1A Mile High battle on Friday, February 11. Dawson School will confront a Lions team coming off a 66-59 non-league loss to Belleview Christian (Westminster, CO). The Lions record now stands at 8-8.

The Eagles (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Highland (Ault, CO). The Huskies come into the 3A/2A/1A Mile High battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Highland was overwhelmed by Aspen (Aspen, CO), 77-38, in a non-league battle.
