February 9, 2023: Grand Island, NE 68803 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Boone Central Cardinals (Albion, NE) and the host Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE), saw Boone Central's basketball squad hold off Northwest by a count of 67-60.
With the victory, Boone Central upgrades its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Crofton (Crofton, NE) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 5-16.
Next up, the Vikings play the Beatrice Orangemen (Beatrice, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 10. Northwest will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Orangemen come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 46-38 non-league loss to Wahoo (Wahoo, NE).
