Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Derry nudges Homer-Center
February 9, 2023: Homer City, PA 15748 Derry Trojans (Derry, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA), 60-58 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Derry upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Trojans travel to Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA) to clash with the Rams in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout on Friday, February 10. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 5-17. Ligonier Valley lost 64-60 in their recent league bout against Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA)
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 15. Homer-Center will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Chucks go into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 51-38 league loss to DuBois (DuBois, PA).
