New Jersey High School Basketball - Steinert nips Liberty
February 9, 2023: Hamilton, NJ 08690 Steinert Spartans (Hamilton, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ), 50-46 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Steinert upgrades its record to 8-14 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Hopewell Valley Central (Pennington, NJ) to play the Bulldogs in a Colonial Valley bout on Friday, February 10. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 10-11. Hopewell Valley Central won 45-36 in their recent non-league bout against Seneca (Tabernacle, NJ)
Next up, the Lions play the Allentown Redbirds (Allentown, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 16. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Redbirds come into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 66-52 league loss to Hightstown (Hightstown, NJ).
