The Veritas Christian Academy (Sparta, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Eastern Christian Eagles (North Haledon, NJ), 65-54 in Friday's non-league test.

The (17-7) will now prepare for their test against Atlantic Christian (Egg Harbor Township, NJ). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Atlantic Christian notched a victory over Calvary Academy (Lakewood, NJ), 68-42, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 7-16 record. They play next when they host Cresskill for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. Eastern Christian will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 37-33 non-league loss to Bergen Tech (Hackensack, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 13-11.
