Minden Crimson Tide (Minden, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Northwood Falcons (Shreveport, LA), 49-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Minden upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Crimson Tide host Woodlawn-Shreveport (Shreveport, LA) to play the Knights in a 4A District 1 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 18-14. Woodlawn-Shreveport won 56-47 in their recent non-league bout against Marksville (Marksville, LA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Mansfield Wolverines (Mansfield, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 10-17 record after their 56-47 league loss to Red River (Coushatta, LA).
