In Friday's league outing, the Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots (Frederick, MD), by a margin of 67-28.

The Leopards (14-5) will now prepare for their outing against Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 12-7 record. In their last outing, Francis Scott Key was trounced by South Carroll (Sykesville, MD), 49-44, in a league outing.
