Kansas High School Basketball - Syracuse can't hold off Hugoton
February 9, 2024: Syracuse, KS 67878 The Hugoton Eagles basketball team scored 33 points and restricted the host Syracuse Bulldogs to 32 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ulysses for a Great Western contest on Tuesday, February 13. Hugoton will battle a Tigers team coming off a 41-31 non-league loss to Cimarron (Cimarron, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 3-14.
The Bulldogs (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Wallace County (Sharon Springs, KS). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, Wallace County edged St. Francis (St. Francis, KS), 60-32, in a non-league contest.
