Kentucky High School Basketball - Rowan County overwhelms West Carter
February 9, 2024: Olive Hill, KY 41164 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) and the host West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), saw Rowan County's basketball squad wallop West Carter by a tally of 72-48.
With the victory, Rowan County improves its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Vikings host East Carter (Grayson, KY) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 12. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 14-10. East Carter won 49-47 in their recent league challenge against Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY)
Next up, the Comets confront the Owsley County Owls / Lady Owls (Booneville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 10. West Carter will attempt to improve on its 4-20 season record. The Owls / Lady Owls come into the challenge with a 18-6 record after their 64-34 non-league win over Wolfe County (Campton, KY).
