Georgia High School Soccer - Savannah Country Day nudges Greater Atlanta Christian
February 9, 2024: Savannah, GA 31419 Savannah Country Day Hornets (Savannah, GA) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans (Norcross, GA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets confront the Johnson Atomsmashers (Savannah, GA) in a 3A Area 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Savannah Country Day will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Atomsmashers enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 5-2 league loss to Groves (Garden City, GA).
The Spartans now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Benedictine for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 10. Greater Atlanta Christian will confront a Cadets team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Cadets record now stands at 1-0.
