Texas High School Softball - Era holds off Olney
March 1, 2024: Era, TX 76238 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Era Hornets (Era, TX) and the visiting Olney Cubs (Olney, TX), witnessed Era's softball squad tip Olney by a count of 4-2.
The Hornets now sport a 3-7 record. They play next when they host Wichita Falls for a non-league match on Saturday, March 2. Era will meet a Coyotes squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Electra (Electra, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Olney moves to 0-5 on the season. The Cubs travel to Archer City (Archer City, TX) to meet the Wildcats in a 2A Region II District 9 match on Tuesday, March 5. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 4-8. Archer City lost 5-1 in their recent non-league match against Henrietta (Henrietta, TX)
