The West Wilkes Blackhawks baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Alleghany Trojans to 2 in the Blackhawks non-league win on Saturday.

The Blackhawks now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Watauga for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4. West Wilkes will play a Pioneers team coming off a 21-4 non-league win over West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-1.
