The Austin Mustangs baseball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Fort Bend Bush Broncos to 5 in the Mustangs non-league win on Saturday.

The Mustangs now own a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morton Ranch for a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. Austin will play a Mavericks team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Langham Creek (Houston, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 4-5.

With the defeat, Fort Bend Bush drops to 3-3 on the year. The Broncos host Dekaney (Houston, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Thursday, March 6. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 7-6. Dekaney lost 8-5 in their recent non-league test against Splendora (Splendora, TX)
