March 1, 2025: Abilene, TX 79605 The Cooper Cougars baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Boyd Yellowjackets to 0 in the Cougars non-league win on Saturday.
The Cougars now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lake View for a non-league test on Thursday, March 6. Cooper will play a Chiefs team coming off a 7-7 non-league Merkel (Merkel, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-8.
With the defeat, Boyd drops to 6-1 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Whitney (Whitney, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Thursday, March 6. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 3-1. Whitney won 6-0 in their recent non-league test against North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX)
