California High School Baseball - El Capitan held off by Central Catholic

Central Catholic Raiders (Modesto, CA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA), 3-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Central Catholic advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Raiders travel to Sierra (Manteca, CA) to battle the Timberwolves in a Valley Oak League match on Monday, March 3. The Timberwolves come into the match with a record of 2-2. Sierra won 1-0 in their recent non-league match against Pitman (Turlock, CA)

The Gauchos now have a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gregori for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 5. El Capitan will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Atwater (Atwater, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-1.
