In Saturday's non-league game, the host Evergreen Valley Cougars baseball team scored a close 7-5 victory over the More Knights.

The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Leigh (San Jose, CA). The Longhorns enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Leigh held off Hillsdale (San Mateo, CA), 6-5, in a non-league game.
