The El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) volleyball were victorious over the host Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Gauchos now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to East Union for a non-league bout on Monday, March 3. El Capitan will clash with a Lancers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Dublin (Dublin, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 2-1.
