Texas High School Softball - Colmesneil sneaks past Grapeland
March 1, 2025: Grapeland, TX 75844 The Colmesneil Bulldogs (Colmesneil, TX) softball nipped the host Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX), 7-6 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chester for a 2A Region III District 23 outing on Monday, March 3. Colmesneil will encounter a Yellowjackets team coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Cayuga (Cayuga, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Grapeland moves to 2-8 on the season. The Sandies host Oakwood (Oakwood, TX) to encounter the Panthers in a 2A Region IV District 25 outing on Tuesday, March 4. The Panthers come into the outing with a record of 3-1. Oakwood won 20-3 in their recent non-league outing against New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX)
