The Independence Patriots baseball team (Charlotte, NC), was overwhelmed 16-5 in Thursday's non-league outing with the visiting Lincoln Charter Eagles (Denver, NC)

The Eagles now hold a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foard for a non-league outing on Friday, March 11. Lincoln Charter will confront a Tigers team coming off a 6-2 league win over North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.

Next, the Patriots confront the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league outing, on Monday, March 14. Independence will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Mavericks go into the outing with a 3-0 record after their 4-3 non-league win over South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
