March 10, 2023: Fayetteville, GA 30215 Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Woodward Academy War Eagles (College Park, GA) and the host Starr's Mill Panthers (Fayetteville, GA), saw Woodward Academy's baseball squad edge Starr's Mill by a margin of 3-2.
Coming up next, the War Eagles play the Rockdale County Bulldogs (Conyers, GA) in a 6A Area 3 battle, on Monday, March 13. Woodward Academy will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 6-5 record after their 10-2 non-league loss to Heritage (Conyers, GA).
The Panthers now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to LaGrange for a 4A Area 4 battle on Tuesday, March 14. Starr's Mill will play a Grangers squad coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Piedmont (Piedmont, AL). The Grangers record now stands at 7-6.
