Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) and the visiting Notre Dame Prep Saints (Scottsdale, AZ), witnessed Desert Edge's softball squad tip Notre Dame Prep by a count of 5-3.

The Scorpions now sport a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cesar Chavez for a non-league match on Thursday, March 16. Desert Edge will meet a Champions squad coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Fairfax (Laveen, AZ). The Champions record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Notre Dame Prep moves to 1-5 on the season. The Saints travel to Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ) to meet the Falcons in a 5A Northeast Valley match on Monday, March 20. The Falcons go into the match with a record of 7-2.
